Oral Surgeon David M. Owsley, DMD

David M. Owsley, DMDDr. David M. Owsley is originally from Fort Mill, South Carolina and joined Regional Oral Surgery Center in 2014. He attended Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina. He graduated in 2004 with Honors and was a Presidential Scholar.

Dr. Owsley practiced for 2 years as a General Dentist before completing an Oral Surgery Internship at Mount Sinai and Elmhurst Hospitals in New York. He then continued his education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Medical College. Dr. Owsley completed this residency at Westchester Medical Center, Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center and Metropolitan Hospital.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Tennessee Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Owsley strives to be a leader in implant reconstruction, dental surgery and sedation.

Oral Surgeon Robert E. Brooksbank, DDS

Robert E. Brooksbank, DDS

Dr. Bob Brooksbank began his oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Cookeville in January 1986. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he played football for four years. He attended the University of Tennessee, Memphis, on the Naval Health Profession Scholarship. After receiving his doctorate of dental surgery, Dr. Brooksbank served three years of active duty as a dental officer in the United States Navy and remained in the naval reserve for many years. He returned to Memphis and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in December 1985. This residency included rotations in anesthesiology, internal medicine, general trauma surgery and plastic surgery.

Dr. Brooksbank is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Tennessee Society of Oral andMaxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association. In addition, he is board-certified in dental anesthesiology and forensic dentistry. He has been on the staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center since 1986.

During his years in Cookeville, Dr. Brooksbank has served on the boards of First United Methodist Church. Genesis House, Cookeville Rescue Mission and the Cookeville Rotary Club, among others. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, water skiing, flying, and watching sports. He and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Jeremy and Aaron.
