Background Information

Dr. Brooksbank with patientOral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Owsley and Brooksbank manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Drs. Owsley and Brooksbank practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain (including TMJ disorders), facial injuries, and fractures.

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery to provide for the safest possible anesthetic experience.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at the Regional Oral Surgery Center of the Upper Cumberlandsis highlyexperienced. Our staff includesregistered dental assistants (RDA), registered nurses (RN), and experienced administrative personnel. All staff members are CPR-certified, andthe clinical staff members are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and licensed in dental radiology and nitrous oxide monitoring. The clinical staff are all certified anesthesia assistants.
